Having my hen weekend at the Oxford Yurt Company in September was an absolute stroke of genius on the part of my four bridesmaids. I literally had the best weekend ever - more fun than I knew was possible to cram into a weekend!

I had dropped a few hints that I didn't want a typical tacky weekend and that I thought 'glamping' would be fun - I really just wanted to have some good times with all my girlfriends in one place, as we don't get together very often - and as I don't like clubbing it seemed like a good option.

Well, when I arrived at the Tipi Village and saw our Yurt it exceeded all expectations! I loved the yurt's interior and decor with the lanterns and boho chic furnishings. The whole set up was truly unique and had a real 'Wow' factor about it - the perfect setting for a girlie weekend. Plus it had all the mod cons us girls need, including hot showers, clean toilets, plug sockets and a separate kitchen hut.

All my hens absolutely loved the place and were really impressed that the whole weekend was so different - it was great all sleeping in the yurt together and having the whole field and area to ourselves. The activities that were planned were fab - several BBQs and a lot of party games, a Bollywood dance class out on the grass, a cream tea in the lovely kitchenette and an Arabian Nights themed Moroccan feast complete with Aladdin-style fancy dress.

Sarah was the perfect hostess - arranging the Bollywood class with the lovely Gita, preparing our afternoon tea and cooking up a Moroccan feast - whilst at the same time letting us get on with things ourselves.

I had the best ever hen weekend - it is a weekend I will always remember... simply perfect.

Huge thank you to Sarah, Gita and everyone else who made it so memorable and wonderful. I would recommend it to ANYONE looking for a fun hen weekend, glamping or just a weekend get togethr.
